Peter Letts creates caricatures from photos or from life, at any size, in any media, on any material, for any purpose.
The most common and cost efficient format is pencil rendered (black and white) caricatures on paper with the image at approx. A4 on a paper (frame) size of A3. These absolutely unique works of art make memorable gifts for birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, end of season awards or any occassion that deserves something very special.
As a gift or for a special occassion caricatures can be ordered by simply sending me a few good quality photos of the subject(s) and telling me some details about their interests or habits. Go to the ordering page to see how easy this process is and to see standard pricing. I will then produce your caricature and send you a proof of the result. When your happy, the finished artwork can be picked up from my studio or I will despatch them wordwide. If you're looking for something that is outside the standard formats just email me the details or phone me for a custom quote.
I can also be hired by the hour to attend functions and draw guests in pencil, creating a unique point of interest and entertainment for guests who leave the function with a permanent and valuable souvenir of the occassion. Depending on how co-operative the sitters are, it takes between 5-10 minutes per drawing, however some sitters tend to keep talking, moving and generally enjoying themselves which can slow the drawing process down. Other guests enjoy watching and subjects are invariably thrilled with the result as I flatter rather than insult my subjects.
Some major corporations that make use of this service at events and functions include: Chivas Regal, Telstra, Sofitel, Rheem, Harvey Norman and Hoya Lens.
Colour caricatures are available for studio drawn caricatures, but they take longer and therefore cost more. They are usually supplied in watercolour on paper but can be created in pastels on paper, oils or acrylics on canvas or even airbrush renderings if so desired.
I only supply black and white (pencil rendered) caricatures at live engagements.
